Indeed, having EMD helps, yet it is not the only factor that will help you rank. It depends a lot of the niche you are trying to rank in, the competition, etc.

Great post there. It is quite true with EMD as much as I have done some research here in South Africa. Despite blogs and SEO experts going against it, I think its a great traffic hook. My question though is: how long does EMD take to rank after being indexed?

Thank you, Cornelia, for the wonderful post! From my point, the title meta tag is one of the strongest relevancy signals for a search engine. The tag itself is meant to give the accurate description of the content page. Search engines use it to display the main title of a search result.

Glad you found it useful, Alden. From our findings we’ve concluded that keywords appearing in both title and domain boasts impressive results for the 1st and the 2nd positions. Maybe we’ll extend our research to H1 and descriptions as well. Would be interesting to see what results we get from there.

But placement of keyword is an important. We have to find and keep relevant and high search volume keywords in Meta tags our website get good position quickly.
