Hi Adrian thanks for this informational article. My question is, is it okay to use the Syndication service from the websites like thehoth. They partnered with news websites. Is it beneficial to get a service from them by keeping in mind all tips you mentioned in this article.

Hi Adrian! First of all, sorry for the late reply. I’ve been blogging for 10 years on a Brazilian blog. In all this time, we never copied the content as you said, but your reply was extremely important to me, because it helped me to have certain that I was thinking, and also to answer a client that said I copied few words from another article, on an sponsored article that he paid for me to write. That was a coincidence and I changed the words, but anyway, I really appreciate your reply.

Reference it with a backlink to the quote, original video, etc. If it wasn’t for links, the internet would basically not exist. Google relies on links to figure out good stuff, that’s why it likes it when quality websites link to other quality websites.

If you use our Content Optimization Tool, you’ll see that the tool actually tells you to use the same keywords as other articles. If 10 articles on the 1st page mention keywords x,y and z, doesn’t it make sense for yours to also mention them?

So it’s not about using some keywords or copying a phrase or two, just don’t copy the entire article. You might be able to outrank someone by copying content as a whole. Let’s say their website has green background with light blue text. Your black on white design should perform a lot better.

Let’s say I’m writing about the new iPhone, and describe in this article all its specs… Thousands of blogs around the world will insert exactly the same specs in their articles. And if in the middle of this same article I decide to also put something that the creator said, a quote, how does Google handle it?

Sorry for my late reply! If it’s only 2 phrases from 100 phrases, no. There shouldn’t be any issue. However, if it’s 2 phrases out of 2… then there is a chance.
