My take on this excellent piece is on the disavow issue. I once had a website which was seriously affected by negative SEO. I removed the links I could and disavowed the rest and also submitted them. However, I discovered that nothing really changed even after monitoring the situation for close to a year. i subscribe to you conclusion that even Google officials seems not to understand how Google works again. This was really helpful.. I have seen YouTube videos of webmaster’s officials contradicting themselves, but now I understand that most of those doesn’t matter… What matters is creating quality content that would drive sales/traffic
