Suppose I have page website.com/x, which has several subpages, /x/y/, /x/z/, etc.

Suppose further that on wordpress /x is set to be my main page.

So, x is now accessible from either website.com or website.com/x

Further, it now becomes the case that /y is accessible from both website.com/x/y/ and from website.com/y.

I hope that sufficiently illustates the situation.

Question: Is this an issue, re: multiple URLs with same content?
