What I have also found is that these offline publications repeatedly implement the same techniques, which says to me that they work.
Yes this is for the offline work, but then take that technique and test it online.
A lot of web marketers stick their nose up at ideas that are not online, this is nuts. Publishing is publishing, either online or off and you look everywhere for new ideas as that is what will give you the edge.

The technique I described above can easily be done with Google Images, no need to leave home 😉

Excellent article Lyndon. I’ve often looked at publishing techniques to put slogans and keywords together. Industry magazines try hard to accommodate to the general public, with the intention to expand their audience. Researching for the right “bite size” slogan takes thought, and keywords a no different.
